From the "That'll Never Work" files, here are a couple of experiments in astro-photography-of-sorts. I obviously need a lot of work on this, but these are my first couple of attempts at shooting the Milky Way galaxy. I shot these under less-than-ideal conditions in my back yard way to early in the night, just to see what I might get. Clicking on the images to get to the bigger files will help them to look a little better. In each case, the exposure is about 30 seconds at f/4, ISO 1600. I'll probably try to take a few more later on, when it's darker.
