Last night, Donna looked at me and said,
"I have a question. Where are you on your artistic journey?"
My answer? That I felt as if I had gone charging down a dead-end road and crashed into the fence at the end.
So, what is prompting this blockage? Is it a fear of success? A fear of failure? I honestly don't know. Photographically, it's not a "gear" thing -- I love my Fuji gear (although I would like to fill out my kit a little here and there). Musically, there's a bit of a "gear" thing (although on track to correct that). Writing? Well, there's always a blockage there, probably because I just don't do a lot of it. In my model making, I did finally identify a serious blockage, which you can read about on the On30Guy web site.
So, to attempt to kick-start my creativity, I've decided to try to participate in a challenge: to be create something -- anything -- every day for the month of October. That something could be photographic or musical or written words or even model railroad-related, and post the results, even if it sucks. We'll see how well this goes, and if I manage to stick with it.
Please feel free to comment on what I post. The feedback will be as important as the creation.
