Pre-production units of Behringer's Deepmind 12 analog synth are beginning to make appearances at various events around the world, and so, too, are videos with audio samples. This one's about the best I've come across, and gives a better idea of what this thing's really going to sound like in a real-world scenario than the bleeps and bloops of most of the others sample videos.
In viewing some of the other new videos last night, I've found that it's much more than just a digitally controlled analog synthesizer, like my old Prophet 600 was. In addition to all that goodness, there are some great-sounding effects and, yes @Bill Wadman, there is some modeling as well, but not for the synthesis. Modeling is used for amplifier and speaker simulation.
Apparently, some resellers are starting to take pre-orders, though no release date or pricing have been announced as yet. Sweetwater does have a page up on their site as well, with a link to be notified when in stock. Speaking of Sweetwater, here's their video, also recorded at Knobcon 2016:
I know I'll be reaching out to my Behringer rep very soon to find out more...
